Dermaplaning
For best results, dermaplaning treatments are recommended every 4 weeks.
Pre Treatment Instructions
- • Discontinue any manual or chemical exfoliation for 3-5 days prior
- • Discontinue any retinol usage 7 days prior
- • Avoid sun exposure 5-7 days prior
- • Do not schedule Botox or facial filler procedure immediately prior to dermaplaning (allow at least 7 days prior)
- • Schedule waxing services 1-2 weeks prior
- • Dermaplaning cannot be performed on guests with acne lesions, cold sores or wounds
- • Wait at least 6 months after completing Accutane
- • Inform you skincare specialist of any medications you are taking or any health issues
The Procedure
There is no pain or discomfort during the dermaplaning procedure. It is best to relax and allow the skincare specialist to move and manipulate the position of your head and face. Try to remain still. There is no gum chewing allowed during the treatment and talking will be restricted by your skincare specialist at certain key times during the treatment.
Post Treatment Instructions
- • Avoid contact with the sun for 48-72 hours
- • Avoid excessive heat for three days post treatment, heavy workouts, saunas, etc.
- • Discontinue any exfoliation including aggressive cleansing brushes for 1-2 weeks
- • Avoid Chlorine for 24 hours
- • Avoid facial waxing for 7 days
- • Avoid Botox and fillers for at least two weeks
- • Do not pick or scratch the treated areas, be gentle to your skin
- • Use a gentle cleanser and rinse with cool water
- • Tone with Hydrating Treatment Lotion
- • Moisturize at least two times a day
- • Use Intense Hydrating Masque (1-2 times a week following service)
- • Apply concentrates/serums as absorption levels are enhanced
- • Avoid products that contain aggressive ingredients like Retinol and harsh acids
- • Apply a broad spectrum sunscreen daily (Daily Light Guard)
- • Do enjoy how smoothly your make-up goes on—although we recommend staying make-up free for at least 24 hours
Dermaplaning is not recommended for guests who exhibit the following conditions:
- • Diabetes—not controlled by diet or medication
- • Cancer—currently undergoing treatment
- • Accutane or Isotretinoin usage within 12 months
- • Blood thinner usage, including frequent use of Aspirin
- • History of bleeding problems/delayed coagulation following injury/keloid history
- • Inflamed acne
- • Compromised skin barrier such as psoriasis, dermatitis, eczema, etc.
- • Retin A—within 5 days
- • Chemical peel or laser treatment—within 7-14 days depending on treatment
- • Botox or fillers—within 14 days
- • Active cold sores
- • Numerous raised lesions on the skin
- • Open wounds
- • An allergy to nickel
- • Sunburned or windburned skin
Lash Lift/Tint and Brow Lamination
For best results, dermaplaning treatments are recommended every 4 weeks.
Pre Treatment Instructions
- • Please refrain from using any growth serums on your lashes and/or brows 48 hours prior to your appointment.
- • Please come with a clean, mascara-free lash and/or a clean, makeup-free brow.
- • You will be asked to complete an intake form prior to your service, but please be aware that anything that can cause skin sensitivity (including the sun and tanning beds) should be avoided prior to and after your service. Please refrain from using retinoids, in any form, for 72 hours on either side of the treatment. The same would apply for any type of exfoliation.
- • Do not schedule Botox or facial filler procedure immediately prior to dermaplaning (allow at least 7 days prior).
Post Treatment Instructions
- • Avoid exposing your lashes and/or brows to heat, water or steam for 24 hours.
- • Avoid using makeup, unapproved makeup removers, unapproved conditioning treatments, shampoos, lotions or lash serums for 24 hours.
- • Avoid rubbing your eyelashes.
- • Avoid sleeping on your face or lashes for 48 hours. This can affect the shape of your new lash lift.
- • Enjoy your gorgeous lash lift and/or brow lamination for 6-8 weeks!
Lash Lift and Brow Lamination is not available for guests who exhibit the following conditions:
- • Pregnant/nursing
- • Currently experiencing any eye issues
